Water Supply Restrictions Implemented in Mexico City

Mexico City reported in the Official Gazette that water rationing will begin in 284 neighborhoods. This measure aims to improve water supply in the mentioned boroughs. It is important for residents to take precautions and be informed about the neighborhoods that will be affected.

In this context, the Water System of Mexico City (Sacmex) has made available to citizens the 'water in your neighborhood' platform, which shows the scheduled water rationing times by neighborhood. This tool allows residents to know the schedule for potable water supply in their neighborhoods.

It is important to remember that while water supply is managed, some neighborhoods will receive service by rationing. Therefore, it is essential to be aware of which neighborhoods will be affected and what measures to take in this regard.

Regarding the neighborhoods that will have water rationing in CDMX in March 2025, several are located in boroughs such as Álvaro Obregón, Coyoacán, Cuajimalpa, Gustavo A. Madero, Iztapalapa, and others. This will affect the water supply in those areas, making it crucial for residents to be prepared.

With the arrival of spring and heat waves, drought intensifies in our country, so measures such as water rationing seek to efficiently manage the water resource in Mexico City and ensure equitable supply for all inhabitants.
